Another Day in Nicaragua

Hello again from all of us here in Nicaragua. We had another amazing day in paradise. This morning the staff of the Surf Sanctuary prepared another great breakfast to start our day off right. The medical team left around 8:00 A.M. and due to the rain the previous night had to walk the last 500 yards of their trip to the infirmary site. But apart from that the group had a great time serving the medical needs of the people. The second group continued teaching VBS and started working on the school well. We had an amazing turn out for VBS, with a showing of over 100 kids. Some of the other members of the group started to clean out the school well and ran some new piping. Tomorrow they'll have a few electricians to help with the well project. Many of us rounded off the day by going down to the ocean and were blessed to see another amazing sunset. We ask that our friends and family would continue to pray for us that our serving would open opportunities for us to continue to share the gospel. We thank God for protecting our group and for keeping us injury free so far. Blessings from your friends, fathers, husbands, sons and daughters. Good night.

  1. Thanks for the progress report!!! I know your day is full so THANK YOU for taking the time to send us news. I keep smiling at the thought of those fruit bats and the girls (Alex) screaming. So tonight they can sleep with the image of the sunset on their minds.
I'm praying for endurance for you all, opportunities to serve them and each other with a love so divine that everyone will see the gospel on display because you are being the hands and feet of Christ even by walking 500 yards in His name.
    God Bless
    Sandy
Please tell Alex Lots of Love from Dad, Mom & Erika

  2. The stories you all will have is something that we are anxious to hear! We continue to remember everyone in prayer each day. The updates help us know how to pray so please keep the them coming! Can't wait to see the pictures. Bless you all for serving so faithfully in trying conditions! Please tell Shelby that her family says hello and we miss her!!!!! Has Drew come up with any rap for this adventure yet? I am sure there has to be one in the works:)

  3. Good morning CRPC Mission Team,

We in Fort Lauderdale are having sympathy weather for you! Tropical Storm Bonnie is coming through with lots of spotting rain! But it will blow over by the time you are ready to leave! (We still have electricity---we are spoiled!)

We hear God is doing awesome things through you all there! Can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories from each mission member on how God has worked in their own lives, as well as those you have served while in Nicaragua!

Enjoy sharing the Gospel with the surfing community at the Surf Competition! Are Chris, Duane and Dylan signed up!?!

Please thank Sarah, your Mission Planner, for all her organization in Nicaragua, and please thank Nancy and Tony Longbucco, your sanctuary hosts for their gracious hospitality! They have been very helpful in filling us in on all your activities!

We miss you all---have a safe reminder of the mission, and may God's comforting and guiding hand be on each and everyone's shoulders!

  4. Per Carol Krpata/Outreach:

Duane Mellor, Director of Outreach, just called in. They were on the bus….

All is going extremely well in spite of some rainy weather.

The VBS and working with the children is really great. Medical team and treating many patients and the construction team is accomplishing their tasks.

They will try to post more on the blog soon.

    Internet connections are sparse.
